This is the first of a half dozen strategic times a year we interview what we call our “Average Joes Arena Heroes”. We also highlight these guys on our weekly E-Blast through our WAMGI (When a man Gets It) story. These are guys like you and me who are in the arena fighting for those people and causes they love.
Don’t get me wrong, our experts and authors are WILL continue to be our bread and butter but it’s the Average Joe who is the local hero of the Men in the Arena organization.
George Sielski is 73 from Jamestown, NY. George has been married to Annette for 54 years in July.
George is retired and drives a bus two days a week doing medial transportation. He has been a Gideon for 20 years. He is a Deacon in his church, runs a Virtual Men in the Arena Team as well as helping lead the MITA forum on Face book as an Arena Coach.
"The Lord will put things in my way. It’s up to me to say yes or no."
“Loyalty is a rare commodity nowadays.”
"If you are messed up in your marriage you need to take a look at that. If you are looking at her you have a problem."
“There is a special crown in heaven for the people that work with little kids.”
"You don’t know how things will affect you later in life when you are young."
"You are what you eat, That’s a fact."
"Spend as much time planning your marriage as you do your wedding."
"If you don’t want your prayers hindered, do right by your wife."
"I know He is proud of me when I take care of my wife."
"You are going to run into storms. Your vows are going to be the only thing that keeps you there."
"Are you thinking about cheating? You think its greener on the other side? Let me tell you something. The devil fertilizes it with a lot of manure."
